At Flagship Accounting we strive to ensure the needs of all our clients are met.  Where “EVERY” client matters – is our motto. We mean that.  Whether you have a simple tax return to be done or day to day bookkeeping needs, we treat every client with respect and ensure you get the premier service from the moment you arrive. We work hard to make every client we have to feel like our only client.

Some of the services we provide include:

While we provide the above services, Flagship Accounting aims to do more than ‘just accounting’. We want to really help our clients. We know a lot about all things pertaining to tax and we try to help our clients best understand how they will be affected by tax(es). We offer advice and support to our clients when they are required to fill out government forms; we assist our clients in the growth and understanding of matters relating to tax and accounting.

We try to simplify the complicated language of accounting and translate it into a language our clients can speak. We will happily explain it until the client understands, because how can one grow and progress if one does not understand?  We want to help people and the gift given to us is a way with numbers so that’s what we give to help the world become a better place.

Our main motivation is to do what the client needs within a budget that works for the client.

  • We figure out what we can do best within the client’s budget
  • What the client needs to do to stay within their budget
  • How we can support them best within the budget.

 How Flagship Accounting Was Formed

The name Flagship was chosen and adopted by Crystal Livingstone in 1999. The reason she picked the name comes from the infamous Flagship picture, drawn by Crystal’s grandfather in 1910, which hangs in the entrance way of the Flagship Accounting office. flagship is a vessel used by the commanding officer of a group of naval ships, reflecting the custom of its commander, characteristically a flag officer, flying a distinguishing flag. Used more loosely, it is the lead ship in a fleet of vessels, typically the first, largest, fastest, most heavily armed, or best known. Crystal’s grandfather, born in 1901, was an accountant whom worked out of flagship-drawting-photo a bank as a young man. Her mother chose the same profession as well, and often encouraged Crystal to participate in the work she did in remote areas of Northern BC. Crystal’s life path found her at 35 years of age when she decided that accounting was what she was born to do!

In September 1999 Crystal established Flagship Management Resources as a management resource and training firm for non profit organizations and First Nations bands. It slowly evolved and gravitated more towards accounting as Flagship started taking a few bookkeeping clients here and there. In 2005 Crystal took over full ownership of Flagship and bought out her partners. She left public practice in 2010 and created her own firm which she renamed Flagship Accounting & Management Resources.

She currently employs 5 full time staff with a broad range of experience and knowledge. Her office has been rapidly expanding to meet the needs of the growing clientele.
